Aaron V. Osmond

Aaron Osmond was born and raised in Provo, Utah. He is oldest grandchild of the famous Osmond Family of Utah. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rome, Italy and received a B.S. in Business management from the University of Phoenix. He is currently a candidate of the Executive MBA program at Brigham Young University (graduating in May of 2021). He and his wife Nancy are the proud parents of 5 children and 1 grandchild. The family lives in South Jordan, Utah. 


Aaron is currently working as an Education and Workforce Industry Specialist for Amazon Web Services as part of their Global Public Sector division. In this role, he travels the world advocating the importance of enabling workforce readiness with government leaders around the world. Prior to Amazon, Aaron served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Certiport division of Pearson from 2012 to 2020 where he led a global career and technical education CTE business offering in K12 and HE. From 1991 to 2012, Aaron built his career in key leadership roles in the IT education industry at companies such as WordPerfect, Novell, and Microsoft. During this time Aaron also served for 5 years as CEO of Wealth Rock, a large financial education company based in Utah. 


From March 2011 until December 2015, Aaron served as a Utah State Senator representing District 10 (South Jordan, Herriman, and West Jordan). During his term, he served on the Public Education Appropriations Committees, the Higher Education Appropriations Committee, and served as Chair of the Public Education Standing Committee and then as chair of the Economic Development & Workforce Committee. Prior to Aaron’s appointment to the new Utah Board of Higher Education, Aaron most recently served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Utah System of Technical Colleges. Aaron is a passionate advocate of the importance of access to technical education programs for students in both our public and higher education systems here in the state of Utah. 
Aaron enjoys traveling the world to explore the great cultures of the world, he loves reading great biographies of historical leaders and will take advantage of any opportunity to go on a long run outdoors to relax and reset.
