Arthur E. Newell was born in Orem, Utah and has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah; he is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
Mr. Newell has been a banker and community leader for over 30 years. Over that time, he has helped all sizes of businesses succeed. He is involved in numerous community organizations including Past Chair and current board member of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, Past Chair and Board Member of Mountainland Technical College, Past Chair and current board member of the Alpine School District Foundation, Utah Valley University Community Advisory Board, UVU Business Advisory Board, and the Riverwoods Shopping Center Advisory Board, and Board Member of the Utah System of Technical Colleges.
Mr. Newell is committed to supporting and advocating our educational institutions and is currently the Committee Chair of the Business-Education Committee of the Chamber. He is passionate about building business & education partnerships to enhance both the preparedness and quality of potential employees, as well as ways that the business community can support our educational institutions throughout the State. He enjoys singing and is a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. He and his wife live in Highland and are the parents of 3 children. He enjoys mountain and road biking, skiing, golfing, traveling, reading, gardening, but mostly just being with his family.
