Wheeler is a retired educator, community servant, and business owner of SynerComm Training and Development. He served for 34 years at Snow College as a vice president and faculty as well as interim president twice. Wheeler served two terms in the Utah House of Representatives. After retiring, he served as mission president in the Arizona Gilbert Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently serves as the Manti Temple President. Wheeler graduated from Snow College and Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a masters in organizational and interpersonal communication.
