Rachel Prickett Passey

Student Board Member

Appointed in 2024. Rachel Prickett Passey is a second-year law student and the University of Utah’s SJ Quinney College of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of Utah and hopes to fuse her studies with the long-term career goal of educational reform. She could not be more delighted with the opportunity to serve as a student representative on the Board.

Although she is constantly evaluating how policies serve the intended community, Rachel firmly believes that problem solving starts with taking a moment to appreciate the progress and innovation of a system as it exists and then moving forward with thoughtful and informed proposals for further inclusion.

When she isn’t studying, Rachel enjoys cooking with her husband, jumping in puddles with her toddler, and poking people smarter than she is into having interesting conversations.
