The Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) and StepUp to Higher Education will launch their annual “Make Your Mark” Bookmark Contest starting September 1. Utah students kindergarten through 12th grade can create an original bookmark for the contest. If their artwork is selected, they are eligible to win a $1,000 college savings scholarship account from UESP. The contest runs September 1 through September 20.
Eight winners will be selected among entries from kindergarten through 12th grade by a six-judge panel featuring Utah Gov. Herbert; First Lady Jeanette Herbert; Deneece Huftalin, president, Salt Lake Community College; Tami Pyfer, governor’s education advisor; Donna Jones Morris, division director, Utah State Library; and Julie Olson, Utah author/illustrator.
Previous winners of the $1,000 UESP Make Your Mark contest scholarship are not eligible.
