Chair Church called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
President’s Report and Board of Trustees Report
President Taggart provided an overview of the state of Ogden-Weber Technical College. Chair Wardle introduced the members of the Ogden-Weber Technical College Board of Trustees and provided their insight and perspective on the state of the college. Chair Church praised Ogden-Weber Technical College for aligning with the Board’s statewide plan and prioritizing equity, diversity, and inclusion. Board members asked questions related to Ogden-Weber Technical College’s internships and apprenticeships, the Ogden economy, and alignment between the USHE institutions. This was an information item only; no action was taken.
Board member Shawn Newell made a motion to go into closed session for the purposes of discussing the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual; Board member Albrecht seconded the motion and the motion passed.
Closed Session
Board member Starks made a motion to end closed session; Board member Shawn Newell seconded the motion and the motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
