The Salt Lake Community College’s (SLCC) Presidential Search Committee will host three public meetings this month to gather input from members of the SLCC community and the general public.
This is an opportunity to provide input on the leadership profile, which is part of the position announcement, for the presidential search before the position is posted and the search committee begins reviewing applications.
The times and locations for the three in-person meetings include the following:
- January 9, 2024, 6–7 p.m., South City Campus, Multipurpose Room
- January 10, 2024, 11 a.m.–noon, Taylorsville Redwood Campus, Student Center Building, Oak Room
- January 11, 2024, 2–3 p.m., Jordan Campus, Student Center, Multipurpose Room
Input can be provided in-person at the meetings, or by emailing slccpresidentsearch@ushe.edu, or by submitting through the anonymous comment box on SLCC’s presidential search webpage.
SLCC is working with AGB Search, a national search firm, to establish a position announcement and call for nominations and applications. The next public announcement from the committee will be when it recommends three to five finalists to the Utah Board of Higher Education. It is anticipated that a new president will be selected by early summer of 2024.
The SLCC Presidential Search Committee is co-led by Brady Southwick, chair of SLCC’s Board of Trustees, and Sharon Eubank from the Utah Board of Higher Education. The committee is comprised of representatives from the Utah Board of Higher Education and SLCC trustees, faculty, staff, students, administration, and alumni as well as a community representative.
More information and updates can be found on SLCC’s presidential search webpage.
