Garrett Largent

Student Board Member

Garrett Largent is a non-traditional student at Weber State University majoring in Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing in Business Administration, Leadership, and International Studies. Garrett believes in being actively involved wherever he stands. This has led him to opportunities serving as Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Fellows in the Office of the President at Weber State University, working as Research Analyst Fellow in Utah’s Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, and as an intern in Congressman Blake Moore’s District Office for UT-01. He has been selected as a Steve Starks Leadership Scholar for the last two academic years. All of this while attending school full-time, working full-time at Hill Air Force Base, and being an active participant in his Church. During the Summer of 2025, Garrett worked as an intern for Goldman Sachs in Global Banking and Markets. Garrett believes the words of Pat Tillman, where Pat said, “Somewhere inside, we hear a voice. It leads us in the direction of the person we wish to become, but it is up to us whether or not to follow.”

Prior to returning to school, Garrett worked extensively in construction, heavy equipment operation, and ranching. In these tasks he was able to manage projects of varying sizes and scopes, which proved critical to help develop a career path upon returning to school. These varied work experiences, in addition to learning about and being heavily engaged in civic affairs, position him to uniquely advocate for and represent the greater student body of Utah.

An ideal day would be in Yellowstone looking for bears and wolves, while enjoying the sights and sounds with his wife, two daughters, and extended family
