Muskan Walia

Student Board Member

Muskan is a senior at the University of Utah, studying Math and Philosophy. At the U, she has learned important lessons through service in various student leadership roles across campus. In particular, leading projects as a Presidential Intern for the past two years, and three years in student government has given her insights into the decision-making processes, governance, and pressing questions of higher education in Utah. Mentored by generous university and student leaders, Muskan has practiced listening and representing experiences in a way that is thoughtful, authentic, and resolute; building relationships; identifying problems, solutions and partnerships; and institutionalizing change.

Muskan’s experiences have cultivated a passion and commitment to community building and education. She is incredibly grateful to represent her peers as the Student Board Member and is eager to meet, empower, and advocate for students from all USHE institutions to advance the student experience.

Muskan also cherishes time spent bird watching, gardening, making pottery, and exploring Trader Joe’s.
