Katie Mazzie is a graduate of the University of Utah (MPA, BA History and Political Science) and currently serves as Associate Commissioner of Government and Trustee Relations at the Utah System of Higher Education, where she has the privilege of combining her passion for higher education with her expertise in governance, public policy, and advancing strategic initiatives. Katie has been supporting and promoting the importance and value of higher education since 2008, when, as a first-generation college student herself, she began serving as a tutor in East High School’s AVID program, a college-preparatory elective for first-generation students.
