Taylor K. Adams serves as Associate Commissioner of Presidential Leadership & Special Projects, where she provides strategic leadership for executive development, governance support, and system-wide initiatives across the Utah System of Higher Education. In this role, Adams leads an expanding portfolio focused on presidential success, including presidential searches, presidential onboarding and training, executive performance management, and succession planning. Additionally, she supports institutional Boards of Trustees and leads special projects to support the System’s mission and goals.
Prior to her current appointment, Adams served in leadership roles at Utah State University and the Utah System of Higher Education, advancing student success and access while also contributing to higher education governance through service on the Bridgerland Technical College Board of Trustees. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University and a Doctor of Education from Oregon State University.
Adams is passionate about strengthening institutions through presidential success and effective leadership, ensuring Utah’s colleges and universities are well positioned to seize emerging opportunities, enhance student outcomes, and meet the evolving needs of higher education.
