The Veterans Tuition Gap Program helps veterans who have exhausted federal veteran education benefits to complete their first bachelor’s degree.

• Eligible Students:   
  • Utah adult residents
  • Veterans
• Eligibility Requirements:
  • Utah resident or qualify for resident tuition
  • Military veteran
  • In the final year of the first bachelor’s degree program at an eligible institution
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress toward degree
  • Have exhausted federal veteran education benefits
  • Complete a FASFA
• Eligible Uses:
  • Tuition, fees, books, education-related supplies, and housing allowance 
• Award:         
  • Based on available funding
• Award Duration:
  • Up to the maximum set by the Utah Board of Higher Education (currently, this is set at one rolling calendar year of awards)
• Eligible Institutions:    
  • Public, degree-granting, four-year institutions:
    
    • Southern Utah University
    • University of Utah
    • Utah State University
    • Utah Tech University
    • Utah Valley University 
    • Weber State University
  • Private non-profit Utah institutions
    • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
    • Park University
    • Roseman University
    • Western Governors University
    • Westminster University
