Talent Ready Utah joined the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education in 2022. It began in 2015 as an initiative of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity with the inception of the Utah Aerospace Pathways program. Since the program’s inception, Talent Ready Utah has had a proud tradition of partnering with education and employers across various industries to implement similar workforce development programs. These programs provide students with career exploration while building the talent pipeline for sectors with significant economic impacts on the state.
USHE works with state and institutional data offices to track and report the workforce outcomes of students who attend Utah public colleges and universities.
Workforce outcome data includes wage information, job placement rates, and industry of employment the first year after receiving a postsecondary award.
Customized training and development for Utah companies and their employees.
Custom Fit is administered through a dynamic partnership between Utah System of Higher Education Custom Fit institutions, the state of Utah, and local businesses. The Utah Legislature appropriates funds each year to support the program.
