The Utah State Board of Regents approved the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) budget request and prioritized the USHE capital facilities requests during its meeting on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at Weber State University in Ogden in preparation for the 2018 Legislative Session.
Each year, the Regents re-evaluate the capital facilities needs of its institutions. This prioritization is conducted after an extensive evaluation process including project site visits by the Regents’ Capital Facilities Committee, space inventories, and various scoring methods. “This is a hard job every year, as our institutions propose important and worthy building projects that will make the student experience that much greater,” said Dan Campbell, Chair of the Utah State Board of Regents. “As more students come to USHE institutions, it is imperative that we have the capacity, the technology, and the essential student services that are part of a top-notch college education.”
