Karen Mayne Public Safety Officer Scholarship Program
The Karen Mayne Public Safety Officer Scholarship Program is a state-funded scholarship program that provides funding to high school graduates who intend to work as public safety officers in Utah upon eligibility.
- Eligible Students:
- Aspiring public safety officers
- Aspiring public safety officers
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Graduated from high school
- When eligible, enroll in a basic training course at a state-certified academy
- Enroll in a qualifying criminal justice-related program at an eligible institution
- Commit to working as a certified peace officer in Utah for a minimum of five years after POST certification
- Not a recipient of a PSOCAG award for the same degree
- Complete the FAFSA in accordance with Board Policy R623
